This weekends project was to prepare my springhouse for winter. It turned into a demolition project. Next weekend will be the rebuilding.

Here is a link to some photos.

The folder is called spring house.

Everything inside was either rotted or the termites ate all the wood. So the kubota fel takes a few wacks at it and in 10 minutes it was rubble.

It served its purpose and lasted for over 50 years, so hopefully, I can build one that will last as long!

Enjoy

Next step, using a magnet on a stick to get rid of the nails that were lost in the grass. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

wjmst,
I have a nail phobia so I usually demolish buildings and walls by hand. It is a little labor intensive but I find it easier to get rid of the nails and waste. Of course it is not near the fun as tearing it down with a tractor, excavator or like the big boys do, dynamite. Looked like you enjoyed the work.

Yeah, my last demo project was by hand and there were still many nails everywhere. Usually because I would trip over my nail bucket spilling them everywhere.

Most of the nails in this project stayed in the wood, but I will need to go over the grass a few times to find any stray nails.

The old (red) house in the picture is coming down next, so there will be many more nails to find!
