The older "L" tractors are shipped in a crate and the dealer has to put on fenders, hood, etc and buy tires/wheels local. I didn't think they shipped with any tires at all.

We don't usually get them that way. Kubota mounts the wheels when they hit the US, then they come to us. The dealer must have ordered the tractor without tires, so they sent it with the little shipping tires.

In Canada they are shipped without rims to the dealer. Usually the dealer puts the little rims on to get it around when the proper tires haven't arrived.

The tractors (m's and l's at least) arrive on metal pallets with the steps removed, one hub and outer axle removed, 3 pt hitch removed, and a few other things removed.
