When the engine comes up to temp there is a definite chirp or squeak that sounds something like a water pump bearing. (Birds or mice sounds come to mind) It only appears when the tractor is under a little load as going up hill but not down shallow grade. The tractor has 650 hours on it and the noise has been there all along at relatively the same sound level. New tractor to me and I'd like to know if this is a problem or a normal operating condition.

Have you tried adjusting the fan belt?

Great, now I am going to be listening for that birdie every time I start up my L3130. :D:D:D

It may be a hood sheet metal rub. I had a high pitch squeek on my 3430 that turned out to be a hood sheet metal rubbing against metal making the noise. Look for warn off paint around the hood edges and other places where two sheet metals may come in contact.
