I live in rural San Diego county in Southern Calif. and we have an on going problem with ground squirrels. They eat part of everything we try to raise then burrow under the roads causing constant problems there too. One of the most popular ways of trying to control them has always been bait stations with a product called P.C.Q . as the poison bait. I went to buy a pail this morning and was told that it was outlawed for homeowner use. I guess fly swatters will be next. I checked the internet site where I've bought pest control stuff in the past but they don't list it anymore either so I guess this is a federal act of stupidity rather than Nanny Moonbeam and his band of perverts.
I used to shoot them with a pellet gun for a much greater sense of personal satisfaction but about a year ago I had a stroke in my right eye and lost the vision in it so that's over with.
Does anyone know of any other product that will kill them and is available to the public?
