About a year ago bought the mounting plate for the implement from Titan and it was as Gordon Gould was. I sent them pictures of the measurements and they shipped me a correct size on in few days. Did not even want the bad one back. No idea what was done with it. Titan I thought handle it very well.

Johnthomas, on mine there was two issues that needed shimmed. First the ssqa mount needed 3/8 shim. Plate thickness. Also the wedge pin needed 3/8 to engage properly done by narrowing the engagement slot. Now that new shim plate sees the compression by the existing mounting bracket but also considerable shear from the wedge pins. Particularly grapple loads at dump angle or back dragging. Over 4 of weld bead holds mine. 2-4 bolts hold yours? A picture would help.

Hooked my Hoe up today and tried it. It stayed on which is what I was after. I have two countersunk bolts holding the plate on. I had tightened them hand tight and checked after using and they were a bit loose ss will get allen wrench and tighten them down. Knowing where they are located I can see them in one pic I took of them. End shot shows thickness of metal plate which I believe is 1/2" or 3/8". I had planned to have a 2" plate welded across the top behind the Kubota SSQA attach plate to catch the plate if it popped out but decided I'd try shim plate before taking hoe to welding shop. I believe I'm ready to work digging small ditches and maybe tree/plants holes. DSCF7021.JPGDSCF7020.JPGDSCF7019.JPGDSCF7018.JPGDSCF7017.JPGDSCF7016.JPGDSCF7022.JPG

Good pictures and details.
Barely missed those gussets underneath and still had room for nuts. Those are machine screws much tougher than most store hardware. Tighten them. Looks like the plates are the right size to take out your excessive play and fix your problem.

Looking at your attachment, built lite, maybe strong enough? The weak point are the screws. Good lever arm with that hoe attachment. If I were to weld anything I would weld those shim plates in. I would not weld to the Kubota ssqa on the tractor. Hope it gives you many hours of use without problems from now on.

My BIL was the Machine shop instructor at the College, previously the Voc School and also has his own machine shop. He provided the screws which I'm sure are hardened steel. I lucked out on location where the screws came out not on gussett. I printed pic from this thread and we used his Big off brand :) :) , not orange cabbed tractor to see hole placement for drop pin is the same and to determine size of plate. He found the plate laying around and used his band saw to cut out slots and then he drilled the countersunk screw holes and then he provided the screws and nuts. :) My thoughts concerning thickness were that if the plate was to thin I could shim with plain pieces of steel under the screwed down shim but thickness seems perfect.I think most pressure on shim is straight down and not pulling back to try and pull it off.against the screws. If I could weld and had a welder I probably would have welded it.
Just ordered some cobalt drill bits. :)
