Pruntyc,

I was not making light of the "be careful" approach and certainly believe it is even more appropriate for a novice like myself. I had just hoped for an additional safety net that would increase the confidence of a newbie.

I still remember the pucker factor I felt when the front wheels came off the ground for me. I have not really felt comfortable on a slope since then even though I have not done anything to comfort the enemy "instability" since.

Also, I guess I don't yet have the time on the tractor because I can't find an excuse to run it over the property with winter here. All the grass is brown and already mowed.

...It appears there is no "source" for adding ROPS to a grey yanmar...

I'm not familar with your size Yanmar... but have you considered looking at a JD41xx series and see if something matches up or comes close to modify and retrofit for your unit...

The only problem I see... you may not like the JD price... /w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif

I sure had problems with the "wheelies" even with suitcase weights. Loading the tires with washer fluid has been a significant improvement

Some of the ground I have is a tractors mans nightmare.
I put liquid in all 4 tires, and that helped whole bunches.
I dont worry any more, and I keep my loader & implement LOW when traveling.
My neighbor calls it a "poors mans roll bar".
