Hi guys,
The rain and the deer have been cooperating, and we (she) got a BUNCH of green beans canned. Used the big 22qt pressure cooker with 7qts of beans at a time, which takes a LOT of heat! Had one jar break, so got a little bean juice seepage around the seal and then down right next to the burner on the stove top. With all the heat, that caramelized into VERY difficult to remove stains on the brushed stainless steel surface! Finally had to resort to fine steel wool after numerous cleaners and solvents failed to faze it.
So, we saw the "Enduroshield" stainless cleaner/preservative on-line. Anyone ever used it? I'm suspicious that it's a $22 can of nothing much different than trusty old "GlassWax". It says it's good for minimizing fingerprinting, but don't know if this would be of any benefit to prevent burned-on staining. It may even CONTRIBUTE to the problem by burning itself. Or anyone used a stainless stain preventer that actually works?
