For a while the push in Maine was to build creative playgrounds for children in the different communities through the state through local fundraising. People loved it, kids included. Then it was pointed out that it was done with toxic pressure treated wood.

Your creative playground looks a bit similar to one in Denton, TX. It was very popular, but when someone pointed out that it was built with that toxic pressure treated wood, it was closed down for many months until it was torn down, money raised to buy new material, and volunteers finally got a new one built.
