tallyho8, maybe that's the way it is in Katrina-ville Louisiana, but not here in Texas.
We name all the "VISITING" dogs and the dogs that chase our truck as we drive these country roads.

Thats a penn. bisquit eater,pure bred from the looks. I have seen some here,but didn't know they had made it across the mississippi yet. Not dangerous,at all except if you try and take his bisquit,,do you have bisquits to eat pretty often? If so,than there you go,if you don't eat bisquits,he'll leave after sensing this,[their senses arn't all that good though],,thingy

I was walking across the field and this (see attachment) was stalking me. It would get real low below the weeds and creep toward me stopping occasionally to look up to locate me. I had my camera with me and zoomed this shot when he looked up. I started walking toward it and it took off. Is it wildlife or wild dog?

Ozzie has a little resemblance to our Chow Chow.
