I don't mind a bit. Candor compels me to disclose that I took most of the design from an earlier TBN post and only modified a couple of details, so it really isn't my design. (the log splitter that I'm building, however, is another matter, I am adding lots that is fairly original to it)
I have gotten so much valuable information from various TBNers since I joined that whatever input of mine turns out to be useful to others, I am still WAY ahead. Fortunately, nobody seems to keep score. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
BTW, I don't have to use a chain hoist at all; I just position the dolly behind tractor and PHD and raise the PHD boom until it is just under the crossbar (having TnT helps, since you can use the hydraulic toplink to bring the boom up quickly and easily). I then fasten it under the crossbar with the chain, zero out pressure on the top and lower links, detach from the 3ph and drive away. The PHD and dolly can then be easily wheeled to wherever in the barn I have room for it. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
