Comparison Standard vs premium tractors

I would say the Cabela's cabbed tractors were pretty premium. 3 sp HST, HVAC, the FEL lever can be used with the right arm on the seat armrest.

I sure like mine.

I reckon it depends primarily on your personal preference and for what application your doing. I didn't like the 3032 or 3038 for the reasons that the loader doesn't come off, there was no gear option, the aluminum rear end sounds scary, the differential lock built into the brake without individual wheel brakes and the rear wheels aren't adjustable. I have an older JD 4110 that I love and just got a Kubota L2501 that makes me happy. In the end, try what you think you like, do lots of research and buy whatever makes you happy.

Exactly. A premium tractor really differs from a premium pickup. If I buy a 2500 Ram Tradesman 4x4 with a diesel, or I buy a loaded Laramie, the bones are all the same. I'll lack Nav and cooled seats in the Tradesman, and I won't get the nicest wheels, but it will tow the same and run the same. I may decide to spring for the Laramie because I want a heated steering wheel, but if I do not and buy a Tradesman I still have the same quality of truck, just lacking frills. On a tractor, many of the economy models are not just stripped premium models, they are different tractors and often not as capable or built with as much durability in mind.

I think it is often worth getting the premium tractor because it is (with many brands) simply a much better tractor even if you ignore the bells and whistles.
