Mark, I do think I know how I got ahead of you on the number of messages posted. When you had heat stroke, you quit posting for awhile. On the other hand, I had a little surgery 3 weeks ago, so I've been laying around the house most of the time playing on the computer, gaining weight, and getting lazier by the day./w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

A lot of really good points on a lot of really good issues.
BUT, I've just got to say this and it's been on my chest for a while. I keep coming back to this site, forum, learning lab, encyclopedia, or whatever it really is because.............it is just SO DARN COOL!!!!!
Lot's of fun, intelligent, and interesting people have found, through The Great Muhammed, a way to talk about and learn more about some very special "toys" that interest them. This is kinda what I always thought the internet should be. A way to find out about things that kinda interest you. It's just SO DARN COOL!!!!!
Like Bird, you can call me anything except late for supper. I don't really care. What I really think, though, is we should rename Muhammed the Grand Poo Baa or something truly representative of his stature in the world of compact tractors. I mean, he has to be known universe wide as the greatest guru ever when it comes to compact diesel tractors. Tractorbynet.....It's just SO DARN COOL!!!!

I'm sure the Grand Poo Bah and others are dying to know about Lake Glimmerglass, a good name. James Fenimore Cooper was the author of the famed Leatherstocking novels, such as The Last of the Mohicans, The Deerslayer, and The Pathfinder--all featuring the tractormanlike Natty Bumppo. Cooper was born and lived in Cooperstown, New York, which was named after his father and is the home of the Baseball Hall of Fame. Cooperstown sits on Lake Otsego, which is the headwater of the Susquehanna River. In his novels, Cooper referred to Lake Otsego as Lake Glimmerglass. For your further edification, he referred to Lake George, the finest lake in all the US of A, as Lake Horicon, the site of the famous birchbark canoe chase in the Last of the Mohicans.
Now, that was the more difficult of the two literary references hiding in my opening post.

By the way, for those of you who don't know, Bird is not only the most prolific poster on this board but he is also the top poster on the Compact Tractor Board. Quite an accomplishment!
