I've a honed a cylinder . What do you think?

Do i need to do it a bit more ? or does it look alright?
How do i get it to top dead centre ?

Also, are you using oil to hone the cylinders?

Yes , i'm useing 10w20 diesel oil if that's allright.

By the way . How do i get the engine to top dead centre ?

When the piston is at the top of the cylinder, it is at top dead center (TDC)
1 and 4, TDC, bancer weights will be down. 2 and 3 TDC, balancer weights will be down.
Balancer shaft turns two times to every one turn of crankshaft.

Sorry for late reply . So i v'e honed the cyclinders as much as i dared and cleaned the pistons and rings and bearing and put 3 of them back in. i broke one of the rings on the 4 th piston so i've ordered some new rings . I thought yesterday to try and turn the engine over with the starter to see if it was the engine or starter that wouldn't turn it over before so i connected the starter to the battery and it just sparked like before . So i tried turning the engine over by hand . i had to use a metre long bar to turn it . Is that normal for a rebuilt engine ? i turned it over when all the pistons were out and it turn fine . Is it the starter then ? I've cleaned everything in the starter and the brushes look really good as well as the armature . The only thing that's missing the the rubber seal at the end .
Anybody got any ideas ?
