I ran my 110 out of fuel the other day. According to the service manual the system is self bleeding so I thought I would simply add fuel and go. This was not the case. After refueling, the engine would start after a considerable amount of cranking and then for only a few seconds. I repeated this several times before I began to investigate. After checking for water and a few other things I noticed gas (presumably air) escaping when I loosened the spin on fuel filter. I'm not sure if it was pressure or vacuum. After retightening the filter the engine started and ran good.

I understand there are at least two fuel systems found on the 110's. As I understand one type does not use the spin on fuel filter.

I hope this helps someone.

Gosh I forgot to include 110 TLB in the title. I hope someone could add that for the benefit of others.
