Dealer Starting engine problem, model G

   / Starting engine problem, model G #21
Hi Jabonee, you mean if mi fuel was freezing in the filter or the line, i should read a code on the control panel?

Because it is a early model G (september 2014) with the Doosan motor, I verified and the fuel by-pass have been done by the dealer on this engine when the toolcat had 500 hours.

I also verified with the past owner ( I have this machine since a week), and he told me that he had the same problem even if the toolcat slept in the garage. He had to hold the key 4-5 seconds in the starting position before he release the key very slowly to the running position. The dealer had check everything and they said it was normal since this model of control panel usualy work with keyless!!!!!!!!!! Very strange!!!!

Very very confusing..........and by the way, everything run just great when the toolcat ran for 15 minutes, it start like a champion!!!!!
If the software is up to date you would be getting ECU codes. Rail psi,IMV,Injector, ect. You may want to have a dealer visit to update the software and reflash the ECU. ECU has been recently update. I still think you issue is the key switch. Also remember all dealers are not the same.

Hi Jabonee, a switch is only 30$ (canadian dollars lollllll), so I will replace it next week and see what happens. I will keep you inform.

Thanks to all the members with your answers. Very appreciated.

had a similar issue on a deere, turned out to be the fuel shutoff solenoid, could be sticking or a relay not holding it open when the key switch moves from start to run

Doosan T4 engine has no fuel shut off solenoid. ECU just turns off injectors.

that throws a whole new level into it, guess only dealers can troubleshoot?

before we get to far down the rabbit hole isn't it cold there like northern WI?? if you don't have a block heater get one.. I plug it in 2 hours before I even attempt running it and there are times I have to hold the key for 5-10 seconds to keep it running a couple weeks ago when it was -30F..

The Doosan engine uses a dry pocket type of engine heater. You don't have to drain the coolant or pull a freeze plug.
