Thanks guys. Awesome info. The barn will be located in SE Ohio. I will use these doors too. I think i will go 12ft high to use a 16x10 door on each end of building.

First I'll start by apologizing, cause it's always easy to spend someone else's money.
Definitely go with a 12' high, then 11' tall doors. They make a roll type insulation they can put down under the roof panels to eliminate the sweating. I agree with everyone else, put down some EPS (foam) between the slab and the ground. How do you plan on using the barn? Strictly storage or are you going to work in there in the winter and summer. I'd also set aside a small area for a bathroom and maybe a utility room. Sounds like you'll have enough space for both. Oh attic trusses wont add to much to the end cost and offer another option to expand in the future.

Just my 2 cents.

Wedge.

Thats a nice looking building, the doors really look good.

A 12 in min overhang looks good and allows for sofit vents, when combined with a ridge vent, will help prevent condensation.

You may find insulating the building when it is built will be a lot cheaper than later. Our insulated non-heated
metal building 30 x 50 x 16 stays at least 10deg cooler or warmer than outside thanks to the insulation.

Concrete does not sweat. This is a term used to describe moisture found on the top of the surface of the concrete. This is caused from condensation. Insulation under the pad will help, but the cause is from the changing temperature in the air and the amount of moisture in the air, known as humidity. You either have to heat the inside of the building, or insulate it really well, or move the air around enough to keep it from forming. Vents at the bottom of the walls and peak of the roof help, but if the building is too big, or if the humidity too high and the temps drops quickly overnight, it's still going to happen. Air can only hold so much water. The warmer the air, the more moisture it can hold, so if you have warm temps and high humidity, then it cools off, you will have moisture appear on the surface of where this happens.

I have a smaller barn (40' x 40'), insulated concrete floor, all steel construction, and went with 14' high sides. It is lightly insulated with 1" of fiberglass. This let me put in a 12' door for the 5th wheel, and a 10' door for the tractor. I have never regretted either. Since it is steel beam construction, I was able to put in a loft over the workshop in the rear. One other item that I would recommend is to have a large fan designed in for ventilation, it really makes a difference here in the south.

I live in SW Ohio and my barn sweats with rapid temperature change in the spring and fall
I would put the roll type insulation under your metal roof
it will help allot

Just put up my second 180X35 storage shed. Metal roof with house rap under it keeps the sweat from forming in Indiana

I have a 12' barn with an 11' door. It works fine but the rail is almost against the trusses. When I added a metal ceiling, getting it in between the rail and truss was quite a job. If you may be adding a ceiling I would suggest either putting it in first or putting a board up first so you can just trim the ceiling up to it instead of going under it.

Do you have any insulation in it now? Just wondering if a little insulation vs alot would solve the issue.
