Starting problems

I hope someone can help me here. I have a cheap farmpro 2450 2wd i tried to start it and it sounded like the battery was dying, the motor would only make about a half a turn. I tried to jump it and could not get it to jump so i went and bought a new battery and it continued to due the same thing. i went through and checked grounds, looked for any loose wiring etc and can not find anything that could be causing this.

Any ideas? thoughts?

If you have replaced the battery, checked the grounds and loose wiring, jumped it and it continues to act the same it could be a bad cable or you may have a starter problem. Cables can get corrosion inside the protective outer jacket coating.

put a wrench on front pulley and see if you can turn it over one full round, it maybe hydrolocked

Buying a cheap multimeter would enable you to take some readings that would allow the best possible advice to be given.

One useful test for example, one lead on the starter frame and the other on the actual negative battery terminal and then try to start the engine. Read the voltage.
Like George suggested, cables can break down inside the insulation and not pass the high currents you need.
Another test. One lead on the positive battery post and the other on the starter big terminal then try and start. Read Voltage.
If voltage is less than 10 you have high resistance between the battery and the starter whose source needs to be found.
Agree with Whis advice to turn the motor over by hand. If it wont turn, rain water may have gotten down the stack and filled a cylinder.
Dont force it to turn. Remove glow plugs or injectors and try again with the cylinders able to force out any liquid.
