I read just yesterday where some guys are placing orders and receiving the orders within 6 weeks and others guys complaining about it because they have been waiting on THEIR ORDER for over a year. So it seems that EA is NOT prioritizing the orders they already have committed to and been paid for...
I have seen EA post a few times for people that had outstanding orders to contact them and make sure their order is still open on their list/books, whatever, so the people complaining may not have followed up.
I have seen several people posting that their orders from months ago have been fullfilled. So it seems that EA is truly trying to make right with everyone.

I guess they lost all their records in the big fire

wait no there wasn't a fire

why should the customer have to contact them?

Possibly computers were seized and/or crashed, I don't know. All that matters is that EA is trying to do right by everyone.
We need more American companies making great products and not cheap chinese crap.
It's terrible what EA and their customers had to go through but they are trying to make it right.

I'm waiting for Ted or Peanut to come back to TBN and talk-up their products.

As someone who had a side business, I feel I need to say this, not apologizing for EA, but you need some money coming in so that you can stay open, pay salaries, buy materials and make good on old orders.
Might not be fair to old customers, but if they go under because they are meeting payroll with no new money coming in they will very soon use up all cash on hand while trying to fill some of those old orders how long do you think they can stay open?
It's a balancing act between restoring customer relations and bringing in some new cash.

You're right
those people haven't had their money or equipment for a year now, what's a few more months?

Honestly, if EA can't fill the already-paid-for orders first, they don't belong in business.

Zombie business, back from the dead but not alive yet. Put it away for good if they can't do the right thing.

Do you realize all the ‘old customers” paid 100% upfront ?

I get that but you forget that they were ALREADY paid for those orders. So they spent the money and now can't afford to supply the order without selling new orders? Nothing about that is right!

Do you all KNOW what happened and if their assets were seized or maybe just frozen temporarily? I doubt it.
From what I can tell by several posts people have made, they are fulfilling old orders and making new sales as well. Like Jeephead said, I have seen a few posted they ordered an implement and got it in about 6 weeks.

I have a 60" grapple and toothbar from EA I bought back years before the issues happened and I can say they both have worked flawlessly and are well worth the money spent and time I waited for them. Around the same time I ordered I saw other people contact EA with a part failure and EA immediately sent them a replacement and usually an improved version all no charge. That is the best customer support you can get and I hope they can get back to their Glory days soon.
I see a landplane in my future in a year or two an EA will be the first one I consider ordering.

Didn't say "whats a few more months". What would you choose as someone whose been waiting for your paid for order and getting it later, after they reopened, or not getting it at all and having to fight (lawyers maybe) to get your money back.

What they should do (my opinion what I would do, if it was me) is to give the non-filled customers the option.
Which they may be doing when they asked for those customers to contact them. (That request implies that those records are not currently available to the current owners for some reason.) ( More information is needed.)

That is all well and good, but how much would it have cost EA to stay in touch with those prior customers who were left in limbo waiting for the item(s) they ordered and by all appearances were never going to receive? How much would an apology have cost them for all the stress they put people through who were thinking they had just lost their money to a company that evaporated? Trust is a very fragile thing for a company to mishandle. I will not reward seriously bone headed public relations fumbles with my future business. IMHO.

I agree with you, they Should have, but they didn't.
What you are talking about is customer relations. I suspect that who ever took over is learning as they go, a Very tough row to hoe.
I'm older than them (I think:rolleyes:), I may have more management experience, who knows. Glad it's not me.

Did anyone go to jail? Or is fraud now a misdemeanor?

I have not been following but curious. And I am not interested enough to read pages of posts.

This entire debacle is strange to me as a business owner.

As a business owner, my employees and customers get taken care of before ME!!! However, I make sure not to get over extended....EVER!!!!

Standing 40 thousand feet back looking at this absolute mess, there is only one thing that caused this.

My business has been going since 1961 when my father left my grand father's business to start his own. We are the 3rd generation and have expanded and grown from $800k to 10M.

I can see exactly what happened in this fiasco.

Good Luck!

M

Well don't keep us guessing. What do you think "exactly happened"? Just looks like overextension with a side of shady ethics to me...
