My guess is $omething other than a ¼" happening there?
You never know, unless you know. Sometimes the 1/4" stops being a problem if you contribute to the right 'charity' or campaign.

I've had the same contracting company do lots of work here, build 2 garages, horse stable, etc. To me what they do is smart: 10% upfront before they start, then 30% (1/3rd way into project), 30% (2/3), then final 30% upon completion. That way they at least have 70% of their money.
The last two contractors, new roof and lots of tree work they said pay on completion.
I knew a local electrical contractor who had a very large job, a major retail store and on completion didn't pay which bankrupted the electrician.

With EA I have no idea but ADA has delayed many Certificates of Occupancy even if built to approved plan.

Building department says guess we missed it and orders a correction... a finished home had to change the roof pitch because it blocked a neighbor's view plane... seen some strange things but rarely is the city held to task...

Many reasons big or small that can delay Certificate of Occupancy...

We may never know the real reason EA didn't occupy the new building.

Wow this thread is off the tracks. There is a few more articles about EA. Looks like Farm Equipment a dealer industry magazine mentions Everything Attachments in the below article. Apparently Leon manufacturing might be in bad shape too.

There are some updates in the Hickory record but they are behind a paywall so I cannot access them.

Makes a person only want to buy an existing home rather than new construction ....

I was VERY nervous when I bought my land plane online. Perhaps it is because I am an old man, perhaps because of things like what this thread is "about".

Really sucks for those that have paid and not gotten their stuff and can't get their money back. That would make me see red.
