Who's going to send him some money?

Wonder about his comment about not being able to stay in that factory for over a year? I still would be hesitant about buying anything from them in as much as he also said they refunded 2.5 million in orders not filled but charged on credit cards and only local pickup, no shipping which tells me he is not on good terms with the transportation companies.

However good EA products were, I personally will never do business with EA or Ted again. I was one
of the lucky ones that were able to get my credit card charges reversed. Fool me once.
I bought equipment from another manufacturer that actually delivered when they said they would. Got
a product I am completely satisfied with using, build quality and materials used.

Honesty, if possible, is the only way forward out of this mess. I personally got a refund of my prepayment after several purchases over the years.

And I was refunded by my credit card company. It would have been my 1st purchase from EA. I wanted the product. I didn't want the drama. I didn't plan to do business with someone who had no intention of delivering the product they eagerly accepted prepayment for.
I am not debating anything regarding what or who Ted is, was, or might possibly become. I am simply stating I don't care. I won't ever (knowingly) do business with him again. That's my choice. You may continue to do business with Ted, that is your choice.

Honesty should have come at the beginning of this mess and an explanation as to what to expect as a customer waiting on an order that wasn't coming and worse yet continuing to take orders that they knew weren't going to be delivered .

I ordered about 2 months before the shutdown. Actually talked with Travis and Ted. Ted made some good suggestions for my build of a landscape rake. No indication of what was brewing behind the scene, except for Ted talking about his contractor problem

I didn't order from EA because of the up front payment and long delivery times. I view his video announcement as "Too little, too late", and would never do business with him.
For those who are willing to buy from EA again... Trust, but verify.

I agree not that I'd every buy anything from them. I did price a grapple there a while ago but I was dismayed about having to pay for it 100% up front. I own a business myself and I'd never ask my customers to pay for anything before it was done and shipped. If I did that, I'd be outta business real quick.

I thought that policy was way over the top so I declined buying it. Not good business practice, especially with expensive implements. Now that I have my new Shop Saber plasma table, I'll probably cut and build my own grapple. My steel supplier sells that 'Hardox' steel as well though I'm leaning to cutting the grapple claws from AR500 plate.

I'm glad those that charged their implements got their money back but I still wonder how many customers got screwed.

I'd like to see him open back up but the 'bad press' will follow him no matter what happens.

Finally, I didn't see any employees, wonder what happened to them?

I'm thinking you will never be made whole. Probably made a payment on his pair of Tesla's.

One thing I'd never do with any long distance purchase is pay by check. A check is as good as cash and once cashed you have little recourse.

Don't know where you reside at but I'd say your only recourse is to litigate against him and hope you get something, anything back after you pay a mouthpiece to represent you.

I don't know the legality of it, but what I do know is it ain't right nor decent to do someone that way.
