Don't know how it happened it just did.
I was debating weather to put this in the Kubota forum or the Parts/Repairs forum but then I remember how some TBNers like to use their bucket as a platform so here it is.

Luckily I was digging when this happened and the bucket just went limp. The line that ruptured controls the bucket curl.
That line is protected by a cover which I took off to take the picture. The tractor is a little over a year old and has 110 hours on it, the outside temp was about 55 and the tractor had been running about 30 minutes. There were no pressure points on the line at the rupture.

I will remember this when I think about going under or standing in the bucket. A line could blow at any time.
Be safe out there!

Because of stuff I have stacked up at the back of my barn.. I drive my tractor with fel in, bucket lifted, and then let it rest on a post I have set in the ground. I have to walk around the front of the tractor due to limited space.. and feel much better with that loader setting on a post.. and not on a hose or hyd ram seal.

good points to remember!

I had a steel line develop a pinhole leak at a bend on my Kubota. I assummed it was stress from the bending that caused the problem. Yours looks like a seam failure.

Many years ago I worked around heavy equipment and one policy was that no one went under anything that was hydrauliclly supported.

It appears that the line may have been bent at that point before it ruptured.

I am working in the woods a lot and large limbs can fall and hit the hydraulic lines and bend them so I added a hydraulic line guard
to my B7510 to protect them. I used a section of a bed frame because it is made of a spring steel and will resist bending better than angle iron. After 50 hours in the woods it has taken several hits and other than scratched paint, no damage.

I have to agree on the seam split. That would not be nice if you were under the bucket at the time it broke. Try to have it warrantied as a defective line.

egon, I agree the split looks like it is on the seam.

btrolle, the protected tubing was not bent I looked at it last month. The force of the blowout, and it really BLEW OUT, forced the line to bend in the opposite direction.

The loaders warranty is for one year and my loader is 15 months old. The cost of a new line is about $40. I would have got a new on but I wanted to clear brush this weekend and the Kubota dealership would have to get one shipped from Dallas. I got the local welder to braise the seam shut. He had a hard time sealing it but after 3 rods and an hour later he got it.

I had it back on before I realized I did not take a picture of it. I took this photo looking under the protected shield.

It looks ugly but there were no leaks after a hour of heavy use.

(Da, I know, I know it's supose to be steel instead of steal)

You are right, it is a not the best looking repair job, but it is covered and it holds and that is all that counts.

Sorry, I didn't realize you already had a line guard on it.

The picture of the blowout makes me think about how much force is on those lines.

Thanks for posting the pictures.
