Steel building costs? sizing questions?

Hey all I'm considering putting up a steel building. I'm not sure what size I'm looking for. I'd like to put my 03' Dodge 2500 and my Kioti 3054 tractor in there with room for attatchments etc. I also will need to have a slab poured. One 12 or 14' high door should be fine. I will do all the electric myself. What size should I be looking at and how much for a turnkey job minus the electric/ site prep work. Thanks! Chris

can't answer your question directly, but can indirectly. We just put up two new steel bldgs, one at 60 X 100 w/ 4, 14 x 14 overhead doors, 3, 36" walk in doors, 2 offices and 2 baths, the other bldg, 50 X 70, 2 14 X 14 and 2 walk in doors, 3 offices and 2 baths. Including site work, survery, plans, concrete, bldg's put up and finish all insides of both, we'll be withing 100.00 of hitting 400,000. These are municpal owned one a highway and one fire. Being the clerk of the works and chair of this bldg committee, I would venture to guess, 30 X 30 , 1 14 X 14 and 2 36" walk in doors on a slab, 26 - 30 grand.. We heated both bldgs with floor radiant heat system..

Sounds a little high to me. My 24x24x9, 4-12 pitch with one 10x9 roll up door, one walk in door and two windows on a four inch slab with footers, all built to code was $9,400

The slab was $2,400. I probably could have got it for 4 or 5 hundred less.

I said as a guess, thinking about our two new bldgs. Also, here in New England the costs are much higher.

I put up a 30'x40'x10' prefab steel building 3 years ago. They brought the building out in bundles. All the frame was just bolt together type construction. The basic building was about $5500. But I got a number of options such as steeper pitched roof, insulation, extended eaves all around, extra doors, extra windows. The final cost of the building was about $9500 + the slab. Picture attached.
I put extra money into the slab. The soil here is notorious for expanding/contracting during season changes. The concrete contractor dug extra deep trenches for perimeter and crossing beams and poured 40 yards of concrete. That cost $6000+. All total then was pushing $16K.
Had I gone with the basic building and lesser slab, I could have gotten out for less than $10K.
