Steel decked trailer slippery!!!

Has anyone ever tried spraying "Bed liner" on their steel decked trailer ? I love my new 20 ' trailer and wanted the steel deck , but almost broke my neck the other day when I got it wet and had to walk on it . I am looking to make it more skid resistance with some type of a finish that will last and not peel off or need constant repair . The other post about using bed liner for the foot controls got me thinking this might work .

Any type of truck bed lining spray on will work wonders for you on your trailer. Non skid is a must if you value your life on wet steel. You could also paint it with a sand mixture like they do with deck paint.

I have the same problem on my 18' flatbed, and I just bought a used 14' dumpbed trailer. I've been looking at this product, just got some information, and a small sample in the mail.
You can get it either smoothe, or non-slip. I'm going to try the smoothe for the dump trailer, and the non-slip for the flatbed.

I think it will be a lot less expensive than the spray-on type that I have in the bed of my pick up.
From the web-site, and the information they sent, it looks like a pretty versatile product.
I haven't tried it yet, so can't really give an opinion, other than it looks like the best bang for the buck, for this type of coating, that I've found so far.
Why don't you try it first and let me know what you think?

Big al i think the stuff in footrest thread would work great. I think it would be alot cheaper for you to get color enamel you want and add the sand mix realy ground glass i guess, add a good amount and apply with a roller, the stuff from plasti cote is just that,maybe it has some kind of ruber stuff in it but i don't think so. it gives a finsh like 100 grit sand paper.

I painted Herculine (sp) that I got at menards in 1 gal. can. Put it on with a roller and was very easy to do. I put it on my pickup bed and it is TOUGH. and skid resistant, It has ground up rubber in it and nothing slides in the bed. They sometimes have a rebate on it but otherwise it is 70 bucks but is a VERY good product. I feel it is as good as the spray on liners and a whole lot cheaper. It will work well for a trailer. They advertise it for bedliners, steps, trailers and docks.

BigAl,i used a non-skid paint(available from tsc) and it has worked very well,i also used it on the foot rests and pedals on my tractor,if i remember correctly it is about $22.00 a gal.
