Just finished installing a trench drain across an access to my driveway. Don’t have a pic of the finished project yet... the covers shown are temporary. The grates are cast steel and rated for trucks. I will try to remember to post a finished pic.

The simplest way that I have found to divert water on my steep driveway are series of shallow diagonal water cuts.
This is what I use, it's a ripper shank with a cultivator shoe welded to it, I run it so as to make a 3 ' deep about 4" wide cut. View attachment IMG_20171008_135516166.jpg
You could build a swale using concrete or asphalt. Otherwise trench drains are an expensive fix. I have a couple of waterboards made of conveyor belting and they hold up pretty well. Just make sure you bury them deep enough.
