- 22 SANY SY 50U, '10 Kioti DK 40se/hst KL-401 FEL, loaded tires, KB-2485 bhoe, Tuffline TB160 BB, Woods QA forks, MIE Hydraulic bhoe thumb & ripper tooth, Igland 4001 winch, & GR-20 Log Grapple. Woods BBX72" Brush Mower. Diamondplate aluminum canopy
Driver's side steering rack. Starting at wheel working toward center of tractor. Tie rod end with rubber boot enclosing it. Then another boot over a ball joint? (machine not in front of me so hard to recall exact layout); then a chrome plated shaft about an inch in diameter going toward and into rack. Is THIS shaft supposed to be covered by some sort of boot, or is it bare and open to the elements?
I ask because mine is bare and I don't remember ever seeing a bare shaft in this area before. I may well have torn off the boot, assuming there is one, when last playing in my muddy VT stream, turned raging river by the recent storms and my inability to stay out of trouble's way. Any help appreciated.
