Steering spinner

Can someone suggest one that fits the newer Kubota steering wheels without damaging them? The only ones I find don't fit worth crap.

I don't know how they could be dangerous on a slow moving tractor. That is unless you slip and fall on it. But then you also have to worry about all the other projections on the way down.

I have a standard spinner on my tractor, and it works fine, and I can't see using it without one. It's really nice when you have to dodge all the flora that the wife wants/needs to plant in my way. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Well, you dont corner very quickly anyhow, but it would still be something to watch out for if it needs a lot of steering wheel turns to turn the wheels, and/or if it doesnt have power steering, then you might not want to try and "catch it" during some faster operations.

Otherwise, the only thing I would say is beware of the bolts!!!

I put a nice hole in one pair of jeans where the extra threads from the mounting bolts met my leg. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Feels kinda funny in the winter time... /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Put one on the steering wheel of a tractor that has no power steering. Catch a front tire in a rut and see what happens.

On the older 4x4 pickups one learned quickly to not wrap your thumb around the steering wheel when it was in four wheel drive.

Now as to the original question. Try some larger equipment places like Cat. You will find spinners on many of their loaders.

Hi Egon,

I was using this phrase "Can someone suggest one that fits the newer Kubota steering wheels" as a guide to my answer. I don't know of a newer Kubota that doesn't have power steering. So in answer to that specific question backed up with almost 800 hours using it on my B2910 (w/power steering), I will stand behind my answer, right or wrong. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I put a nice orange colored spinner on the steering wheel of my Kubota B2410 which I bought at the Dunnellon, FL, Tractor Supply. I use it constantly on "U" turns while finish cutting my fields. It came with just the right length bolts and two different backing plates depending on your particular wheel shape. I put it at 3 O'clock on my wheel and it does not get in the way when I am not using it. It sure saves time when making turns.

I have the $9.00 version on my 05 L2800 and it fits just right.
I firmly belive it is the absolute cheapest/best upgrade for a tractor with power steering.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHERE TO GET THE DAGUMMED PERFECTLY FITTING ORANGE STEERING WHEEL SPINNER?!?!?!

I'm with you. I bought one a local farm store, figuring they were all pretty much the same. I guess older tractors had much "thinner" steering wheels. I need one with a much bigger bracket for my BX 2230. Okay, wait, I don't need one at all, but I think it would be kind of cool.
