steering wheel knobs

I agree with Doziernut ... I've heard of too many people who got hurt using these things even years ago ... I too have had Steering Wheels kick back even when breaking ground or disking and shudder to think what would have happen if I had mounted one these on the Steering Wheel ... When working a tractor hard, plowing, many things can and do happen ... be careful ... I bet the Ford 8N Guys can tell you about kick back ....

Here's a link to a picture of my TSC spinner knob. Hey, it even matched the color of the tractor. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif I keep one hand on it and one on the joystick when loading. I mounted mine around 6:00(even though in the picture it is at 12) so that I could use it with either hand when mowing. I never touch the steering wheel anymore... ever! It works great with power steering. Have heard lots of broken bone stories from manual steering, so be careful.

I've not seen anyof the 3.99 at TSC and have yet to find any orange one's anyone know if kubota or agco would have one?

Years back, 70's, a friend had a spinner on his Ford van that I had never seen before. It was a ring about 3 inches or so in diameter that mounted on the inside of the steering wheel rim. It didn't project above or below the steering wheel. To use it you kind of pointed your four fingers together and stuck them in the ring, then just cranked the wheel around. There was nothing to catch your hand if the wheel spun while you were not using the spinner.

I don't know where he got his, but I've don't recall seeing one since!
