I am in the market for a tractor and came across the Steiner 415. Looks like a well built machine. The Steiner dealer in my area is willing to take my Power King(1212) in on trade(have had a difficult time trying to sell it outright). Any thoughts/opinions on the Steiner-I need to move some dirt/snow and haul firewood on my 4 acre wooded lot-so I am interested in the slip scoop/60" blade and pallet mover. Thoughts or comments on this Steiner and attachments. Thanks in advance.

I have had 3 Steiner's and now a Ventrac and have been very pleased with them all. Very safe and stable. The slip scoop, blade, and pallet mover all work well. You might want to install the heavy duty wear edge on the blade if you are doing a lot of work in rocky areas. You will definitely need the rear weight package for stability.

Good Luck.

Just keep in mind that the slip scoop is not a conventional loader.

When I was looking at them, the scoop was only rated for something like 200# or 300#, and would only lift a load very slightly off the ground.

The ventrac does offer a better loader than the steiner.

I believe that the power trac does all of the same tasks but offers a much better loader and is less expensive.

Good luck.
