Steps for First Time Use of a New Cub Cadet 1046

TSC is delivering my new Cub Cadet 1046 on Friday.

1. Are there any steps that I need to take before using it the first time? Do I need to add anything, remove any packaging type things?

2. What should I look for before signing the paperwork and taking delivery. I was told it will be a new one fresh out of the crate.

Seem there are many members here who purchased from a dealer asking questions.
