Tig/Steve.....What species of Poplar are you talking about?
I'm not certain the species, all my poplars grew wild. Their love of septic beds is always a concern. In Greely it was the fluff in the pool that was the last straw. Where I am now we have days when it looks like a fluffy winter wonderland. :) Not a big deal since we have no concerns with fluff. Even the sticks and branches don't bother me. A quick web search makes me think I have balsam poplar, lots of them. They drop sticky yellow pods. The pods stick to your feet and track in the house, car boat. Yellow stains and sap. I've had to use thinners to clean the sap off of gelcoat, but once the stain is in, it's there for good.
I wrapped ash, elm, maple and even willow with corn crib to keep the beavers away. I wish there was something I could spray on the poplars to entice the beavers to help themselves. :)

Thanks, Steve. Boy my Lombardy Poplar aren't anything like that. They die off in about 8-10 years, but are easy to fall and easy to replace without all the negatives that you species has. Leaves, branches, needles, pine cones, walnuts, stains, sap, fungus, pests, squirrels, bird poo, etc. But what would we do without them.....I get exercise, shade, peaches, apples, pears, cherries and the opportunity buy rakes, a shredder, pole saws, chain saws, make compost and stay outdoors as much as possible.

Can you tell me what the manufacturer name is? It is hard to read and I can't zoom in. Thanks!

I know it is old but thought it was worth a shot. I was able to download it and blow it up and now see it is Jacobsen. Just trying to find out what this attachment is. I NEED it! :)

shellfish.......I'd look for something like the Cyclone Rake. By shredding the leaves the volume is dramatically reduced and will compost sooner.

But you still have to manually pick up the bigger limbs/sticks.
