Junkman, I was only trying to be helpful. You need not have been rude.

Sorry to have wasted your reading time.

Folks, Let me say I only have 3 hours on my BX2230 so I have not had this issue. I park my tractor next to some very expensive collectable cars my father has. If the peddle were to stick, the damage would be costly due to the fact these cars are antiques with original sheet metal. Not to mention I would probably never get to park in his heated garage ever again.

Cars can be repaired though…People are a different story. I can only think that someone will eventually be seriously hurt or even killed due to this issue. I am very interested to hear if this problem has been resolved in the newer BX series so please if this problem has occurred please make the time to post in the forum for all to see.

For those who are paying to have their tractors picked up I think you should demand to be reimbursed. This is a serious safety problem and needs to be resolved by Kubota and on their nickel. I don’t think the dealer should incur the cost but I believe it is their responsibility to get reimbursement from the manufacturer. Just my thoughts…

Thanks for bringing this issue to my attention. I will be captious in the future and will post at the slightest hint of this problem. I will also pay special attention to the scheduled maintenance of these components.

Pete..... it was meant as a joke..... only a joke and nothing other than a joke. It was never intended to be rude and I apologize if I offended you. Your post happened to be the last post and I just happened to post a reply to it rather than go back to the top and post a reply to my original post. It was not intended then, nor was it ever intended to be a reply to what you have posted. Personally, I don't know how anyone could ever take that dash sticker as anything but tongue in cheek humor, rather than rude, but you are entitled to your opinion. Once again, my apologies to you.
As for your information, I do appreciate the post. Thanks once again.

Junkman do I have to follow you around and apologize to folks for you? He's really sorry for offending you guys, it wasn't intentional. His wife told me that he was lax on taking his medications again today. Junkman remember what you wife told you, take your pills every day. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Junkman,

I appologize for being touchy yesterday. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif I should know better and follow that with appropriate behavior. It was the wax comment that got me.

I guess it was because I remember, quite well, the efforts I took to clean the rust and gouges off that pivot shaft. After cleaning it with 400 grit emery cloth and regreasing, the shaft and pedal action was near perfect.

It sounds now like the problem the BXs are having is not related to what I witnessed.

One question for you BX owners: do you have a shock absorber attached to the linkage? The B2400 does. Its job is to ****** to speed of the pedal and linkage when returning to neutral; it's adjustable.

That sounds like what happened to my BX pedal pivot shaft within a month of getting mine. I took the pedal assembly apart and the shaft was rusty with almost no clearance on the bushing. I also figured it was stupid not to have a way of greasing this so I drilled the shaft for a zerk fitting. A few months later I heard that Kubota was putting fittings on the new ones. I also removed my little damper shock at that time and haven't missed it at all. I'd rather have the response a quick as possible if and when I need it.

I suppose I should completely remove my damper shock. I think it's busted anyway; one day it spewed oil all over things.
