Sticks will be sticks...

A month or so ago I was back filling a trench. There were two or three sticks laying flat on the ground.

I did not think twice about them.

Heard a funny snap sound. Thought that was strange...

Got off the tractor a bit later and noticed something funny...

Looking under the tractor here is what I see...how'd that stick find its way up between the hydraulic tube and that linkage so easy?

I mean, it was not sticking up in the air. It was laying flat on the ground...

Yikes! This is a good case for not wearing sandels or flip-flops while tractoring. I made MrsAndyM change her shoes before getting on the tractor once for this very reason.

Shot from down below...missed the filter, missed the hydraulic stuff, missed the mechanical linkage...

Guess it IS time to start work on that bottom protector...AKA belly pan...

Better make one for the BX too...which is even more vulnerable...from the bottom up.

How did you get the stick to miss all the vitals?

I lost my hydraulic tank, my hydraulic lines and most recently, the sticks took out my fuel line!!!!

Your lucky the stick was short. I know a guy that hit a broken truck spring on the highway. It came right up thru the floorboard and the rear seat. He was lucky no one was sitting back there.
