sticky gas pedal

A few weeks ago, I noticed my 2230 (35 hours) would continue forward a couple of seconds after removing my foot from the pedal. Now, it's also happening in reverse. Is this due to the unorthodox single pedal design (it never happened on my old, dual-pedaled Deere)? Any solutions?

Take it to the Dealer, It is obviously still under warranty.

I had something similar happen on my BX2200 and simply spraying the linkage with some lubricant changed this from a drifting stop to an almost neck snapping stop when I lifted my foot off the HST pedal.

You could try lubricating the linkage and see what happens. Others had to do more...I don't remember the details. A search might turn up those threads.

Try a spray lube of sume kind. I just might work for you. It did for me, almost to the tune that for a while I wished I had a bit of drift when I took my foot off the directional pedal. The lube made that much difference.

Your milage may vary. Worth a try though. Simple fix if it works.

My 2230 has a zerk on the pivot. It faces the center and front of the tractor. I just hit 40 and lubed mine today. Hope its that simple /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Like another poster said, there is a grease zerk on the linkage close to where it connects to the tranny. I have the same thing on my B7300. I also have the same problem that you do. I have greased mine several times and it still continues to "stick." I have found that at lower RPMs it is a bigger problem. When I'm running at PTO speed it seems to perform a lot better.

My BX22 did the slow to return deal and the "spraying till the cows come home" did not do anything. I used every grease, moly, silicone, etc and did not do a thing.

So I went to the dealer and he fixed in about 5 minutes. You just need to adjust the adjuster on the right hand side (by the rear tire)

Mine had some bearings in the transmission bad, hope yours is not this same problem. I would think Kubota would have fixed this BEFORE now, since more than one had the problem.

There are a lot of places for dirt to get in, keeping in greased is the best solution for this, if it is in fact dirt in the linkage.

I called my dealer today. They told me they'll have to take it apart. Although it's under warranty, they won't pay for pick up/delivery ($200). I might wait until it get closer to 50 hours to kill 2 birds with 1 stone. Is it ok to do the 50 hour check-up at 40 hours?

I used your pictures and instuctions for the adjustment about a hundred hours or so ago. It did make the pedal stiffer in returning to neutral, but to be honest I don't think it changed the creeping any. I have just learned to live with it. Maybe I'll have it fixed under warrantee eventually. But your tutorial is the best place for any one to start the process of ellimination. Thanks for the link.
