My parking brake lever is sticky pretty bad, its getting harder and harder to move it up or down. I tried throwing some WD40 at it, but I really need to take it off and apply grease to it before the snow flies. Any suggestions on how to get it off? I tired over the weekend but could not find a way. There is nothing solid near it to pry against.

TIA,
Tim

What model tractor?

You shouldn't have to move it "up" (release). Step on brake pedal and it will release with spring action if working correctly.

Sorry its a CT450. Stepping on the pedal does not work. Even when you goto set the brake it takes more force than it should. Its seems to have gotten worse over the last few months.

Do you have the correct hydraulic fluid in it? I just learned one of the issues which can arise by using the wrong fluid is sticking brakes.

Its on the brake pedals that are sticky but the parking brake lever. I've been shooting it with some lube every couple of days and its finally starting to lossen up.
