Where is a good source for rebuild parts for an 044 magnum. I need a jug and piston.

BaileysOnline.com is usually the first place I look for chainsaw P&C kits. A quick glance there tells me they have a 50mm Meteor kit and a 52mm NWP big bore kit.
Note that 044 engine changed over the years, so you need to make sure you are getting the correct parts to rebuild your particular 044. The folks in the chainsaw forum at ArboristSite.com should be able to answer all your questions in detail.

I would find a good used OEM cylinder and get a meteor piston for it. I have a Hyway piston and cylinder on a 024, it came from Weedeater man. You need to figure out if you have a 10mm or 12mm wrist pin before you order your piston cylinder kit.

Best way to know for sure which size wrist pin you have is to pull the piston pin and measure it. There was a serial number break but on this old of a saw, the numbers may not tell the whole story.
