Stihl trimmer head

It appears that the Stihl Autocut C 25-2 is basically the same as the Oregon Speed Feed. And if I ever need a new one, I think that's what I'd buy.

I think its a bit different. Loads from both sides instead of passing the line thru the middle. Seems to be well liked over at Lawnsite, so its probably a decent head

My wife got the Stihl electric trimmer that has the Autocut 'C' head.. IMHO its GREAT!! No more with the line getting tangled inside the head and not feeding correctly.. Once we figured out how to work it (i was trying to disassemble the head and wrap the string in the traditional method) loading new string was EZ..

Funny, I purposely purchased the push in string head too on a FS90R, thinking it was similar to the old Toro I used on a Road District where you placed the string in a retention ring quickly and the strings lasted half a day. My mistake I did not look at the head - you push in the strings and spring loaded clips hold onto the 8" strings.. Not only do the stock strings disappear quickly the is a nub left in the eyelet and you can't push them through - probably the worst design ever. Good thing my dealer took it back and I went with the stock bump and go and it works fine, I'll go with the recommendations on the better head and line at some point.
