Still looking...
I'm still on the hunt.... still trying to find a deal or finally get a new one.

So, I just found a 2004, B7400 (16HP), 64 hours, Hydro, FEL, rear finishing mower, one owner.

He wants $7,500.

Anyone have any input? Is that a good deal? I think it is with the FEL, but not sure. Also, with only 64 hours, it's still pretty new. He's kept it in a barn/garage with open sides, but a top.

A new B with FEL, 54"MMM is $15,000 or so and this is HALF the money. Saving 2 to 3 thousand is one thing, but half is another. Of course it's not apples to apples, but close.

Anyone have any thoughts? Have a 7400?

I don't have a B7400, but if you found one with only 64 hours and it's half the price of a new one, is clean and has not been abused and it's what you're looking for anyway, I think I'd be on my way with a cashiers check and a trailer.

Is it a B7410 (18hp) or a B7500 (21hp)? I didn't see B7400 on the Kubota prior models list.
Check the prices on Tractorhouse.com
In any case. The 64hrs on the meter means the tractor was hardly ever used in fact it is practically new. May have some slight fading of color and scratches from normal use. Does it have power steering? What is your intended use? You know. The normal questions. I would say that should be a very good machine, but what are you intending to do?

I couldn't find that model number on the Kubota site or tractor house. I'm guessing it is a slightly different. Sorry, don't have any direct experience with them, but if its in good shape, go for it.

I looked at one about 2 years ago. It's a nice tractor, only slightly smaller than a b7500. The only drawback for me is that it does not have power steering. If it fits your needs then it is a good price.

Does anything think the power steering will make a big difference? Haven't driven one without it yet.... The 7400 is a 16hp.

I had a B7300 and in tight quarters it was tough without power steering. In wide open areas making wide turns it was OK but I ended up selling it mainly to get power steering. Try it out first.

I drove it yesterday and in 4wd with a full bucket, it did seem a little hard to turn

1-3*I would not buy a tractor w/o p/s no matter how good the deal.
