Thanks for all the feedback, it's very helpful. I think I'll get a new quote from the dealer for the 3010 with Ag's. I've just run across a 1995 L2900 with fel, 420 hours. Drove it Saturday, pretty good condition, tires a little worn, scratches on paint, etc. Owner wants $14,000, haven't bargained yet. I think my heart's still set on a new one, though. If I can sell my IH it will be a done deal.

If you can afford it, buy the new one and make all the scratches on it yours. I faced the same decision, could afford the new one and am glad I did. Its all mine, every scratch, dink, dent and all, and each one has a story.

Take your time and go w/your gut feeling.
If you considering buying a second hand try find out what kind of work the owner did w/the tractor.

Unless you get a once in a lifetime deal I would go with the new one. You can't beat the warranty and low interest financing. I was set to buy L3010 w/ FEL & BH for $24k but end up with a one year old 72 hour NH1920 w/FEL & BH for $17k. If you buy new you can get it set up to your specs. Mine has turf tires and I would have gotten ags or R-4s.

Chuck, take a look at the "L3300 GST ? information" post in this section. I'm not bashing, but there is some stuff you should know about the early Grand L's.
