in a few weeks WILL IT STILL THERE?
Well, the MF1455V sure wasn't! But, then, they offered it for far too little... I mean... Wow! That was a bargain to whoever got it!

Whereas for this 3930... It's a fair price for a great tractor. But, don't we all want an AWESOME price on an AWESOME tractor???

I did option B myself and highly recommend it. I financed at 0% which saved me money compared to buying something nearly new and using a home equity loan. I bought a slightly used JD 6' rotary cutter and a new Bush Hog box blade that I got a deal on. The 4wd 4400, loader, rear remotes from the dealer, cutter and BB totalled about $20,600. And the tractor is new, with full warranty and I paid no interest. It is paid off completely but I could have been interest free for 3 years. I've had the tractor for 16 months now and it has been superb. I have not lacked for power.

You can see some pics of it here:

And my review of it here:

The only thing I'd add to the review is that I've done a lot more stuff with it now and am still yet to be disappointed. The only other complaint I have is that with the basic two pin bucket attachment the bucket doesn't curl back as far as I'd like for carrying loads around but that has not really been of any significance for the work I've done with it.

Don't go muddying the waters, now! Sheesh! I just need a tractor! The wait is killing me!

You're not really comparing apples to apples. The 3400 and 4400 are similair but the 4400 is ceratainly a larger frame. I consider a 3400 a true compact. I classify the 4400 as a large compact. The MX is similiar in size to the 4400 but a tad larger than the 4400. I consider it as an extra large compact.

The 3930 is a true AG tractor in weight and capacity. If the prices were close on all the units you listed, then the 3930 is the winner hands down. I would not consider the MX5000 due to the 2WD. It's a light machine and without 4WD you're not going to be satisfied. I would purchase a 4400 with 4WD over a MX5000 with 2WD. Again just my personal preference.

If you are concerned about the condition of the 3930 get a mechanic to check it out for you. You could run a compression test on the engine and perform tests on the hydraulics. If the machine has had regular service 1100 hours is nothing in my book. We've got three tractors on our farm with over 4000 hours on them. Two of those units are gas burners. These units are made to last.

Well, I'm not that concerned about that. But I should probably have my mechanic check it out, anyway - to help me feel better about the purchase.

Yes, the 3930 he's looking at is 4wd with loader.

Sorry, I didn't see where he mentioned that, but also, looking around on the web I couldn't find a 3930 in 4wd.
