Installed new deicer today. We will see what that brings. Instructions do not specify additional ground rod. They specify properly installed gfci outlet.

If the ground system wiring is raised above true earth potential because there is neutral current flowing through the ground system. Livestock can still receive tingle voltage shocks even if the breaker supplying circuit is open. Don’t matter the least if there is or isn’t a GFCI receptacle .
