Yup, John Deere has that covered with a nifty little part that allows rigid or float. Never hear anyone referring to them, many probably unaware of there use.
Just reverse the locking key, comes in handy for plows and snow blowers etc.
Guess I just got lucky. When I puchased a Woods RB60 for the BX, I didn't realize how handy taking the pin out of the grader blade would be until I read about others on TBN doin' it. I probably would have never thought to do that, but it works the same as the chains allowing each side to move up and down independently.
Give credit where it is due, have not tried it but looks like a winner for what the target effect is. That is what we do, modify to enhance the effect and therefore improve result.
