I was just letting everyone know around my area that my tractor was stolen off my property in daylight. It was 450ft back off of the road and they got to it. They actually drove it backwards down the driveway and more than likely trailered it from there. The thing is there was a house right across the street and they were around. The tractor had a 16LA front loader and a boxblade from tractor supply on it. It was bought new just in NOV 06 and only had 30 hours on it. I bought it to build my new house, go figure. If anyone around this area sees a New Holland let me know, because almost everyone around here uses either JD, or Kubota, sometimes Massey.

Thanks,
Dustin

That sure is a bummer. Hope you have adequate insurance. If it is moved a state away and they never take it in for warranty work it will be hard to find. In these schemes there is usually more than one person involved. Usually alcohol will loosen up a jaw and the truth will come forward. The real loser will be the guy they sell it to when it is confiscated. Good luck !

When I read about these crimes I wonder if it is possible to install a unit such as a Lowjack, in a place where it can't be removed. With GPS available 24/7, it would be a quick arrest.

Make sure you report it as stolen to New Holland. If anyone ever checks the serial number for warranty work it should come back as stolen and then the fun will begin for the thief.;)

IH3444; The more expensive industrial equipment comes with a gps locator built into the unit. My question is who pays for the monitoring? Maybe they can find it when the machine is powered up through the manufacturers files. They get twenty dollars a month for monitoring shoes with this feature. It is a good plan but the cost would be prohibitive for most of us.
If it is sold I am sure no one will be counting out the hundred dollar bills in place of financing or writing a check. A paper trail is always the most effective way to resolution.

Definately offer a reward. Thiefs are idiots and will fink on each other. Unfortunately, the police probably have a lot of other crimes to research and it will take luck for them to find it. So you will need to do some research on your own.

Well we will see how it all turns out, my New Holland dealer immediately posted a bulletin to other dealers about he warranty work plus notified the credit agencies and insurance agencies. Just no telling how long it will take to get me a new one. I bought this one to help build my new place and for all the agri. work that was going to be needed around it. As I was pouring conrete the other day I told everyone there it had lowjack on it to see if anyone got suspicious because the had been there before, but to no avail. Time will take its course and they will eventually be caught it might take one month or twenty years, but numbers follow numbers.

Ahhhhh man, my deepest sympathy goes out to you!!! That's just the lowest form of life to steal like that!! Justice hopefully will be served. Hopefully you will have a positive experience with your insurance company but the odds of that are slim these days as well. Keep us informed of your progress and keep your chin up........there's another "true blue" machine waiting out there for you!!

There are a lot of Texas TBNers. If you posted the serial numbers of the tractor and 16LA loader, it would sure be a big help, especially since you never posted the "mandatory" new tractor pictures in this forum. :)

I personally would never buy a tractor or loader with a missing serial number plate. If I saw one, I'd think it was stolen for sure. If it were a car, it would probably be stripped, but being a tractor, it will probably be for sale somewhere within 100 miles of Houston. With a stolen vehicle on a traiiler, you are exposed to discovery most when you are transporting it. A short trip and a quick place to hide it are on your side if you are the thief. Of course, there's the chance that it was stolen by someone who will use it themselves. It could be hidden somewhere in the brush and never see "civilization" again. I would not get my hopes up for ever finding it, but you have to try. Good luck, and I hope you get a replacement soon.
