Around here, a guy bought himself a nice diesel Super Duty, an awesome trailer and who knows what else by stealing tractors and sending them to auction. He got caught by a local Sheriff's Deputy blocking a main road in town chaining down a brand new Kubota right off their lot. The dirtball put some vinyl letters together for a hobos-assed sign claiming to be a Kubota dealer vehicle. The Deputy had taken another report of a stolen brand new MF tractor a couple of months prior, probably done the same way, by the same guy, so he was a little suspicious.
Next thing dirtball knows he's sitting in the local hoopscow, lost the stolen NH, the stolen Cat skid loader (like a Bobcat), lost the pickup and trailer...then the judge gave him the pickup and trailer back and released him on probation. PROBATION! He had like $150,000 in stolen tractors IN HIS POSSESSION and they gave him PROBATION! I'm sure he's at it again...
