I need to stop the bucket from leaking down [1430] and am thinking of installing a valve in the top hydraulic lines from the cylinders. Two questions.

1] Will this work and if so does anyone have a suggestion on the valve?

2] Is there a better solution?

Thanks;

When you buy the boom mower, they install needle valves (one for each of the cylinders) to lock the arms in place. Close them to lock and open to allow movement. Ball valves would work as well if you only want full on or off.

JJ my first thought was I would need one to provide flow in one direction but I think under normal operations I would need flow control in both directions. So as usual I have confused myself.

Double piloted check valve.
