Storage of Attachments.

I'm in a suburban lot, with a 12x12 shed. I have enough attachments that I keep a cheap 12x12 storage unit with seasonal attachments, and make the swap twice a year.

I got my system down, uhaul 6x12 with a ramps, everything is on skates.

The only issue is my front mounted snowblower. It's a Deere 47 inch. I can't get it off and on the trailer easily. The skate I made has small wheels to unhook from the Machine, and it a bear.

Any ideas?

Lay plywood or planks on the ramps to create a smooth surface so the wheels can roll freely?

Put it on a dolly with larger wheels.

The larger wheels are tough. My quick hitch can't pick it up for larger wheels. Maybe strap it to plywood.

I bought 2 dozen when they went on sale last year for $6.99

Have yet to break one.

Maybe this system will help. I have several attachments and limited, covered storage. All my attachments with no moving parts are out in the orchard. Each one sits on its own pallet. My Wally chipper and my Land Pride grapple are in carport stalls - under cover.

These attachments - on their own pallets - are never covered. The worse thing that can happen is the paint will fade. Covering simply provides a place for rodents and larger beasties.

My grapple is always on the FEL and along with the tractor - the whole shebang sits in a large carport stall. The HD Rhino rear blade is always on the 3-point. Unless I'm using the chipper. I've had to struggle thru knee deep snow but I always know the tractor is snow-free and ready to go.

My tractor ALWAYS has something on the FEL and 3-point. Times have been, it just tough enough getting out to my tractor - thru the snow. Man - I do not need the hassle of installing the rear blade when the snow is knee deep.

Several years ago a large pine tree fell directly across my driveway. Fortunately - it did not take out the power line - which runs right down my mile long driveway.

With the grapple on the tractor and my chain saw I cleared this tree right pronto. The snow was about two feet deep. Clearing the fallen pine had priority. At over 10K pounds - the M6040 easily pushes thru two feet of snow.

My dad's Kubota BX had trouble hooking up to a PTO tiller that we stored on a dolly because of the added height so we make some 2x10 ramps to back the tractor on while hooking up, only took a couple extra inches. So my suggestion is to swap the dolly wheels for bigger ones and drive your tractor onto some type of ramp when hooking up your blower.
