I would think that spray chain lube would work very well, possibly also spray silicone since it is dry and repels water.

Also keep in mind that the cylinders will slowly loose pressure and your back-hoe could end-up in a awkward position. I put straps and proper support under the back-hoe to help keeping it's position.

My stabilizers kept leaking down and sticking out in the way, so I just pulled the bottom pins and hooked them together with tiedowns to keep them up. Only takes a couple of minutes to replace the pins.

As for the dipperstick, it's locked in place with the factory pins.

I agree with bobg in va. being an harley rider for many years, it is a must to keep my scoot from rusting over the winter months so i use the same method of oiling her down and detailing in the spring. WD-40 works awesome.
