Storing attachments

I feel so much better now!!! I was afraid to admit that I had no place to store the FEL, BH, GM... or J.D. for that matter. So, I put them up on blocks, as best I could, greased the H___ out of them and cried a bit, watching them get covered with show while I used the RB and front Blower. Now it's Spring, I've got the FEL and BH back on and regreased everything to push out any moisture. So far, all I've noticed is a little surface rust on the buckets. Everything works just fine.

However, 1st priority this Summer is to get a 3 to 4 bay shed built. At least I'd feel like I was taking care of this expensive equipment. Wouldn't mind the J.D. being under cover either!!!

Have my stuff outside for 25 years now, some of them was 25 years old when I bought it. They still Looks and works the same as when I got em.

I agree leaving them outside is certainly a workable solution and my bush hog, which has been outside for the last 17 years, may stay outside if I find it doesn't fit well in the garage. My JD 755 was stored outside, uncovered, for the 16 years I owned it. Mechanically, it had no problems but it did show the results of being kept outside. The horse trailer and dump trailer would be in better condition if they had been stored under cover. They are not in bad shape and are as functional as the day I bought them.

If you can keep some or all of your implements, and especially your tractor, under cover it is best but I would not fret about it if you can't.
