I also have limited, covered storage space. So I go by this rule - if it has moving parts, its stored under cover. My tractor with grapple attached is under cover as is my chipper. The remaining six have no moving parts and are out in the orchard on pallets. So be it.............

Seems to be a common problem as our equipment and implement lists grow. I would like to store everything inside but it’s almost impossible. What I can’t comfortably get in my barns is stored outside on pallets to get them off the ground. I try to get as much inside as possible before the Michigan winter, even if it’s crowded. I’m slowly making wheeled dollies to store things on inside the building. Much easier to condense everything. I virtually always keep my tractor and excavator inside...as much for security as for weather protection.
