If I store my MMM on edge, in the vertical position, will I have gearbox oil leaking out a vent in the gearbox?

Storing it veritcal against a fence or in a shed would save some room.

THANKS. Newbie needs to know, without the oily mess.

I stored my 60" mmm vertical all winter long with no leaks or any trouble at all. I don't know what Kubota recomends though.

THKS.

I read the manual and it doesn't say to store or not store vertical. The book also doesn't show a vent cap, so think it's going on edge.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Re: THKS.

I also stored mine all winter vertically - no problems and gained a lot of space.

I store my MMM vertically as well, but I put RTV sealant over the vent to prevent leakage - then remove it in the spring.

I too store mine on edge. No leaks. Suggest that a rope or suitable device keep the mower from falling.
The snowblower, front blade, weight box are stored on dollies so they can be moved out of the way. The rake lives outside in the woods as there is nothing that will bother it except for the bears we have running around here!
