I have a cousin who left in a snow storm to get milk and bread and he disappeared for 30 years ! True story, Reappeared living in California with a new wife and kid's Everyone thought he was dead !

That's about all I did...case of beer, some chips and 4 gallons of diesel (which I needed anyway).

I am with Ducktape! I went out two days ago, got the beer, wine, chips, cold cuts, don稚 drink milk, and ice cream. Happy that we are still on the grid and there is plenty of wood to keep the wood stove going for three days. Life is good. Heard yesterday that Home Depot was short on shovels, generators and snowblowers, gosh that is way too bad.

Yeah...I've had my snow shovel for years...I guess some folks must buy a new one for every storm.

I went out yesterday and picked up my storm survival kit.
Tractor is fueled up ready to go...... same as any other day.
Pretty much the same here Ductape! My wife got the beer and some extra fuel for genny - alls good here on the coast havent lost power but do have a lot of the white stuff.
Dave1949 - yes boston is an entirely different story - I am flying out of BOS on Monday - looks like everything should be back to normal is there is such a thing in BOS.

I went out for an hour last night to deal with the drifting on the lane and the plow bank. Not nice conditions. Deep snow, open winding right of way. No base to scrape on and no banks to guide me.
We really didn't get hit all that hard, but I see that it's drifted in again. I'll make it pretty later today.

That's terrible and hilarious all in one!! Hate if for his current wife, so strange, why not just divorce, he didn't get anything anyway??

Sometimes money and material objects are not as important as some people think ,He said he wasn't happy and wanted to start again and he did .

You laugh...we ran a supermarket for years in southern Wisconsin. Even there we could expect a run on bread and milk (even though in 99.9% of the cases the roads were cleared in a day). I always wondered what people did with 10 extra loaves of bread and 8 gallons of milk...a person can only eat so much french toast.
